Foundation of UNIPAK

Foundation of Union Packaging Corporation S.A.L. (UNIPAK) – IPC and INDEVCO’s first manufacturing company – in Lebanon.

1966
Installation of New Machines

Completion of the installation of all manufacturing machines for a full production process.

1967
First Export Activity

Start of UNIPAK’s first export activity to explore the markets of Europe and North Africa.

1976
Acquisition of UNIPAK by the Frem Family

Total acquisition of UNIPAK by the Frem family from Mead Corporation.

1994
Establishment of Repro Center

Expansion of UNIPAK and the establishment of Repro Center, a division member that specializes in advanced pre-press solutions.

1999
Expansion of New Technical Capabilities

Expansion of UNIPAK’s die-cutting and finishing operations.

2000
Receipt of ISO Certification

UNIPAK’s acquisition of the ISO 9001 certification.

2004
Expansion of the Corrugated Line

Investment in new machinery to improve UNIPAK’s quality and corrugated product line.

2011
Receipt of the FEFCO GMP Certification

UNIPAK’s acquisition of the European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (FEFCO) certification for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Growth of Solid Board Capabilities at UNIPAK

Expansion of UNIPAK’s manufacturing facility to incorporate solid board packaging capabilities.

Receipt of the BRC Certification

Acquisition of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials, earning an A grade on the High Hygiene category.

EASTERNPAK Ltd. joined forced with a multinational logistics company, and a leading player in the courier and package delivery services to write a new chapter of their eco-friendly and sustainability journey with the innovatively customized Corrugated Bins while ensuring all organization and safety standards are being met. Following our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and thanks to this innovation’s functionality, we were able to replace the plastic bins with the new signature product: the corrugated bins. Mainly used for stacking and storage purposes, the bins are made of a double wall corrugated material, with which optimal sturdiness is certainly guaranteed. In this context, the corrugated bins have been used as tray options at the heart of logistics company warehouse shelves. Emphasizing the fruitful collaboration between both parties, The Company’s Marketing Manager states that: “The outstanding corrugated bins have facilitated the sorting and distribution of items and accelerated the delivery process, helping the team cope better with the COVID_19 safety measures”.
